Homes in the suburbs are 9% more expensive than those in the city
thinkmoney’s findings have revealed that the average home in the suburbs costs £290,295. This is 9% more expensive than the average home in the city centre, which costs £262,938.

In addition, thinkmoney have also uncovered which suburb renters would witness the biggest rise in house prices, should they leave the city-centre:
For Sheffield homeowners, the average house price stands at £137,968, however, should they want to move the best-rated near-by suburb, Fulwood, the average house prices is £349,031. This is an increase of £211,062.
Likewise, homeowners in the city-centre of Nottingham would need a lot more money should they decide to relocate to the near-by suburb, West Bridgford. Here the rent house price is £381,497, which is £204,397 more than those in Nottingham (£177,100).
