Warwick Estates now poised for growth with £8m war-chest and a star-chamber leadership team
In 2017 Sir Rod Aldridge, founder of Capita, purchased Warwick Estates as an already well-established leasehold property management company.
Unsurprisingly, Sir Rod’s goal is growth - just as it was at Capita, a business that he drove to 75,000 people and a FTSE 100 listing.
Warwick’s newfound strategy to climb to the top of the leasehold management sector started immediately after Aldridge’s purchase with the appointment of a new chairman in the shape of Adrian Ringrose (Interserve, Taziker, Syrinix). Ringrose has now set to work laying firm foundations for growth via a bold leadership recruitment drive and an investment in resources beginning with a big cash investment of £8m.
Consequently, the ‘new’ Warwick Estates is unrecognisable from the business it was just a short time ago and now includes some notable industry names in its ‘star-chamber’ leadership alongside Ringrose, himself a veteran of FTSE listed organisations, philanthropy and the CBI (Confederation of British Industry):
Emma Power - Chief Operating Officer
Joined in 2020. 16 years leading an institutional property investment house and a portfolio of 70,000 residential units. ARMA board member. Member of the Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM).
Phil Grewock - Chief Financial Officer
Joined in 2020. Former Finance Director at Countrywide PLC and was Head of Finance at Stansted Airport. Well versed in growth and in navigating challenges.
Kark Arden - Business Development Director
30 years in property, a qualified surveyor, member of the IRPM and formerly Rating Surveyor at the Valuation Office. Deeply experienced.
Ross Hulmston - Head of Legal
Formerly Senior Counsel and Head of Legal Operations at FirstPort
Gemma Armsden - Project and Integration Manager
Formerly Regional Operations Director at Premier Estates
In addition to the new leadership team above, several new Area Director appointments have now been made together with a significant number of new Regional Manager roles also.
Warwick Estates today manages over 40,000 properties via 186 staff at its offices in London, Harlow, Portsmouth, Stanford le Hope, Cheltenham, Cardiff and Warrington - a portfolio that has a value of over £9 billion.
