Child and Family Trust helps families get into the Christmas spirit
Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust is helping bring a smile to families this festive season, with help from local Homebuilder Barratt Developments Yorkshire West.
Northorpe Hall Child & Family Trust is a West Yorkshire based charity that improves the lives of children & young people up to age 25, particularly focusing on communities and families who are disadvantaged and in need of support. The Trust’s focus is mental health and emotional wellbeing. Their vision is that all young people have good mental health most of the time and have the support and relationships that help them recover quickly when they experience mental health challenges.
Ahead of the festive season, Northorpe Hall called out to local businesses to support its Christmas drive to donate hampers and items to help struggling families this December. Help came through from the five star Homebuilder Barratt Developments Yorkshire West who donated £500 donation in their drive to continue supporting the communities in which they build homes. The Christmas Appeal support include hampers and gifts, and the Northorpe team welcome food items such as pasta, rice, tins, dried ingredients, and of course a few luxury items such as cakes, biscuits, sweets, crackers and biscuits, alongside gifts for both children and adults.
On the donation, Dipika Kaushal, CEO at Northorpe Hall Child and Family Trust commented: “We are delighted to receive this donation from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West to support our Christmas Appeal. The current economic crisis has left even more families with worries and uncertainties ahead of the festive season, but this donation will offer families some well-needed relief. This support makes a huge difference to the families we support and helps people to feel a little joy and hope during the Christmas season, a time that is often so difficult, for many children, young people and families”.
Ian Ruthven, Managing Director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West commented: “We are thrilled to be able to make a significant contribution to Northorpe Hall. Christmas should be a time for joy and celebration, but we know that growing economic concerns have made it a daunting time for many. We hope that this donation will help bring some festive magic to people across Wakefield and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.”
