Local Homebuilder rallies its troops to support the team at Barnardo’s children’s charity store in Bradford
Local Homebuilder, Barratt Developments Yorkshire West is continuing to support the communities in which it builds by volunteering at Barnardo’s Superstore in Bradford.
Barnardo’s, the UK’s leading children’s charity, welcomed the Finance Team from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West who donated a day of their time to help the charity by sorting through stock, creating new window displays and assisting with various other tasks in the store.
Barnardo's protects and supports hundreds of thousands of children in need across the UK, and staff from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West went to aid the team who keep their Bradford Superstore fully stocked. These stores are critical in raising the funds so the charity can deliver its life-changing services.
The activity is part of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West’s ‘Donate a Day’ programme, where all employees are encouraged to pledge two full days of volunteering to a local cause each year. This plays a part in ensuring the Homebuilder continues to support local communities.
Barnardo’s has been supporting children in need since 1866 and today is the UK’s largest children’s charity.
Nadine Good, Director of Children’s Services in the North of England at Barnardo’s said: “We’re extremely grateful to the volunteers from Barratt Developments Yorkshire West for joining us in our Bradford Superstore for the day. Our shops are a vital source of funding, allowing us to support children and young people, so the extra help has been much appreciated. We would like to thank the team once again for all their hard work!”
