Bovis Homes hosts first-time buyer event at Boorley Park
Bovis Homes has organised an event designed to help first-time buyers get a foot on the property ladder at its award-winning Boorley Park location in Botley.
The ‘Find Your First Home’ weekend took place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November at the development, off Kingsman Drive.
Potential customers were able to talk to sales advisors and an independent financial advisor who were on hand on both days, as well as explore a completed two-bedroom semi-detached Holly house.
Site manager Jon Fuge, who oversees construction at Boorley Park, has this year won his second Seal of Excellence from the National House Building Council for the quality of his work at the development.
Sales Manager at Boorley Park, Molly Webb, said: “Our sales team enjoyed welcoming potential first-time buyers onto the development, as we got to meet them face-to-face, to tell them all about the two-bedroom homes on sale and show them round the Holly home. An independent financial advisor was also on hand to outline which mortgage deals might be open to our customers.
“It was a busy weekend. The aim was to help first-time buyers by showing them that the dream of owning their own home might be more achievable than they think and to help them reach that goal.”
Research shows that a brand-new Bovis Homes property can save its buyers on average £1,627 a year on their energy bills.
According to the Home Builders Federation’s 2023 Watt A Save report, energy costs are, on average, 55 per cent cheaper in new-build homes. This research shows that the average monthly energy bill for a new-build home is just under £110, while the same bill for an existing property is £245 – a saving of just over £135 a month.
Molly said: “All of our new homes at Boorley Park have an EPC rating of A or B which means that they are very energy efficient. What this means is that buyers can make significant savings on their fuel bills and are also helping to look after the environment too.
“Moreover, people who purchase a Bovis Homes property at Boorley Park have the peace of mind that comes with buying a house at a development where construction has been overseen by an award-winning site manager.”
There’s a choice of two, three, four and five-bedroom Bovis Homes properties for sale at Boorley Park. Two-bedroom semi-detached Holly houses are currently priced from £330,000.
Bovis Homes is part of Vistry Group, which also includes Linden Homes and Countryside Homes.
