Warm welcome for community at Edwalton Fields winter event in Nottingham

Hot chocolate and hot dogs were among the treats on offer at an event at a new homes development in Nottingham that was all about warmth.

Linden Homes and Bovis Homes – both part of Vistry Group – invited residents, members of the local community and potential buyers to a Welcome the Warmth this Winter event at its Edwalton Fields location in Edwalton on Saturday (2 December).

The event featured information about the energy efficiency of the new homes at Edwalton Fields as well as festive refreshments which also included mince pies and mulled wine.

Vistry Mercia marketing manager Freya Halsall said: “The start of December seemed like a good time to hold our Welcome the Warmth this Winter event at Edwalton Fields, as the weather feels decidedly wintry now.

“We offered a warm welcome to our visitors, with a Christmas-themed catering van providing warming treats on the day, to bring the community together. It’s important to us to create events when everyone can meet up at and get to know each other – especially at this time of year.

“It was also a chance for guests to find out about how our modern homes help keep them warm and cosy, yet without the high fuel bills and chilly rooms that you can find with older and less energy-efficient properties.”

Linden Homes and Bovis Homes are building more than 750 properties as part of a wider new neighbourhood off Melton Road.
