Homebuilder donates play equipment to Knaresborough nursery
Local Homebuilder, Barratt and David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West has backed a local Knaresborough nursery with a £500 play equipment donation.
With more than two decades of experience, Kids at Heart has been providing children in Knaresborough, Ripon, Boroughbridge, Harrogate and the surrounding areas with a fully-rounded nursery experience, from newborns to school-aged children.
Kids at Heart provides a safe and secure environment for children to flourish with several services including two nurseries named Nidderdale Children’s Day Nursery and The School House Children’s Day Nursery; and an after school kids’ club at Willow Tree Community Primary School.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes, which is currently building new developments in the area named Manor Chase and Harclay Park, recently donated £500 worth of play equipment to the Nidderdale Children’s Day Nursery. This included children’s easy riders and trikes.
Speaking on the donation, Gill Hurst, Sales Manager at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, comments: “As a local Homebuilder, it’s important to us to make homeowners and their children feel right at home in the community, including where they go to school and nursery.
“We’re delighted to be able to donate play equipment to the Kids at Heart nursery in Knaresborough and we hope the local children enjoy playing with the new toys.”
Julie Shaw, Owner and General Manager of Kids at Heart said: “We are extremely grateful to Barratt and David Wilson Homes for donating this play equipment to the nursery. The children are really enjoying trying out the lovely new bikes and trikes, which encourage collaborative play as well as promoting their physical development. All of which add to the experience and love we encourage of outdoor play.”
