Barratt Homes North East has launched two brand new Show Homes at its development Hebburn, Monkton Gardens

Monkton Gardens from Barratt Homes, which offers a collection of stylish three and four bedroom energy efficient homes, has opened its doors to two new Show Homes to demonstrate the quality of the house types that are available on the new development. The properties available include Part L house types designed to offer substantial savings on energy bills alongside eco-friendly and sustainable living. This includes PV panels installed on all properties, thicker insulation, air source heat pumps, and much more.

The first Show Home is the three-bedroom Moresby house type, perfect for first-time buyers, young professionals and growing families. Downstairs offers a bright and airy lounge, alongside a modern kitchen-dining space designed with family living in mind. Stylish French doors open out onto the garden, whilst a cloakroom, storage space and downstairs W.C allow for living in complete convenience.

Upstairs, homeowners will find the main bedroom with its own en suite, plus a further double bedroom, single bedroom and a family bathroom. The property is completed with two parking spaces.

The second Show Home is the four-bedroom Hale house type. A detached property designed with flexible living spaces, the Hale features a spacious open-plan kitchen and dining room, with French doors opening out on the rear garden space. The large lounge area offers plenty of space to relax with family and friends, whilst a convenient utility room and downstairs W.C finish off the ground floor.

The first floor offers four generously-sized double bedrooms, with an en suite attached to the main bedroom, and a separate family bathroom. One of the bedrooms has been creatively designed by a pupil from nearby school, Bede Burn Primary, who won the design competition with Barratt Homes and had her imaginative creation brought to life.

Ideally situated near to Hebburn town centre, with easy access to commuter links and a fantastic range of ‘Outstanding’ schools nearby, the development is ideal for young professionals and families alike.

As part of the development, Barratt Homes has dedicated over £300,000 to local improvements. This includes a traffic contribution of £10,000, enhanced offsite street lighting, and a large sum towards improving the local area’s biodiversity net gain.

On top of building a homely community for new residents, Monkton Gardens is also embracing local wildlife as 55 per cent of the land will remain green space to support thriving wildlife and create a home for a number of species of birds, plants and small mammals all known to live in the region. This will include the implementation of over 1,200 metres of hedgehog highways, 2,500m² of wildflower meadows, more than 2,500 new sapling hedgerows, and over 170 new trees planted all within the new development.

Natalie Donnelly, Sales Manager at Barratt Homes Monkton Gardens, commented: “We’ve seen a real interest in Monkton Gardens since its launch last month, with seven homes sold already!
