Wilkes Shortlisted for Four Awards at this Year’s Midlands Dealmakers Awards

Award-winning law firm, Wilkes, is thrilled to announce that they have been shortlisted for Corporate Law Firm of the Year, Deal of the Year (sub £10m), Deal of the Year (£10m- £50m),  and Corporate Lawyer of the Year (Rick Smyth) at this year's Midlands Dealmakers Awards. This recognition is particularly special as Insider celebrates 30 years of dealmaking excellence in the Midlands.

The Midlands Dealmakers Awards has become the premier event in the Midlands' M&A profession, drawing over 750 attendees annually. The most senior dealmakers from the region come together to celebrate their accomplishments and those of their peers, making it the go-to event for commercial finance professionals in the Midlands.

Wilkes have been shortlisted for Deal of the Year (£10m- £50m) for their involvement in the management buyout of Now Education, one of the UK's leading suppliers of staff for primary, secondary and SEND schools across England and Wales. Wilkes provided the legal advice on the deal supported by corporate finance advice by Shaw & Co and institutional investment from Prefequity LLP.

Wilkes have been shortlisted for Deal of the Year (sub £10m) for their involvement in the management rollover of shares as part of the acquisition of Stalis Limited (Stalis), a specialist provider of data migration and archiving services to the NHS, by Egress Limited (Egress) and FPE Capital (FPE) which comprised the Buying Group. Wilkes provided legal advice to the management team of Stalis on their management rollover, with support on corporate finance from Headpoint Advisors, tax advice from Claritas and Higgs LLP who advised the sellers on the main transaction.
