Taylor Wimpey helps couple move closer to family in Devon

A couple who recently made the move to Taylor Wimpey’s Apsham Grange development in Topsham couldn’t be happier with their decision to move to the area.

Stuart and Margaret Finn moved to Apsham Grange in June after deciding that they ultimately wanted to be closer to family, friends, and the amenities that the area has to offer. 

Stuart said: “We’ve been really happy since we moved into our new home at Apsham Grange. We found that the new-build properties had more to offer to us than the older houses currently on the market in the area and the Taylor Wimpey homes ticked all the boxes for what we wanted  in our next home. 

“The proximity of the development to Topsham was very important to us, as we’re now  conveniently located near to our family with excellent transport links to other local attractions, such as the shops, sprawling countryside, and the beautiful sea coast.”

The couple decided that they wanted to be closer to family in Exeter now that their children have left the family home. Commenting on the process of buying with Taylor Wimpey, Margaret said: “It was important to us that we could make an informed decision and we appreciated being able to view the show house and see samples of tiles, flooring, and other design aspects of the house. 

“The sales executives were amazing with helping us through all the intricate steps of the purchase and they were very sensitive to the fact we had to travel from London for each visit. We both felt that the Taylor Wimpey team were excellent at answering every question we had, they gave us great advice and had lots of helpful local knowledge. 

“This is our first move after living in the same house for over 38 years so their guidance was really invaluable for us. The site team has given us a detailed review of every critical aspect of the house, which made moving in much easier. The whole team went above and beyond to help us on our journey and it was a very rewarding experience. We couldn’t recommend these homes enough!”

Stuart and Margaret purchased The Marford, a four-bedroom property with an open-plan kitchen-diner, which stretches from the front to the back of the house with light spilling in from the kitchen windows and patio doors. A separate living room provides a quiet space to unwind, while upstairs there are four spacious double bedrooms with the main bedroom having its own ensuite. 

Speaking on why they chose the Marford, Stuart said: “We loved the flow of the rooms on the ground floor and the ability to have some quiet space if we want, along with the added benefit of the utility room. The bedrooms are all a good size, giving us plenty of space to have guests stay over. The garden is also a good size for us and we are looking forward to building some wonderful memories here too.”
