Barratt Homes launches the first set of homes at its highly anticipated development in Newcastle

Barratt Homes has launched its brand new development of 72 homes on the site of the former Walkergate Hospital in Newcastle.

The exclusive Sycamore Grove is the closest new build development to Newcastle City Centre, making it ideal for professionals and families alike and will offer a mix of the housebuilder’s most popular three, four and five bedroom homes, as well as 11 affordable dwellings. Every home will be designed to be up to 58% more energy-efficient, saving customers up to £2,600 each year on bills.

An additional £10,590 will also be allocated for improving community allotments. Plans by the housebuilder show there will be retained trees throughout the development as well as footpaths and swales, which is a grass covered drainage channel, all which enhance biodiversity.
