SOLAR panels and a south facing garden mean the latest release from Anwyl Homes in Longridge is sure to be hot property with those hoping to reduce their energy bills.

Latest research from the HBF suggests those living in a new house could save around £3,100 on the energy bills compared to people in older equivalents.

All new Anwyl homes at Stonebridge Fold achieve a minimum B under the Energy Performance Certificate system. The addition of solar panels, like on plot 79 – the Hartford, can deliver an even higher rating.

Area sales manager Imogen Suffell said: “The cost of living and rising energy prices remain a hot topic and that includes amongst home buyers. People are keen to assess what their household bills are likely to be before committing to buy. We’re pleased to say our homes are among the most efficient available and are eligible for green mortgages. Add solar panels into the equation and there’s potential for further savings as you’ll be less reliant on energy from the grid.

“Plot 79 at Stonebridge Fold has solar panels and the rear garden is south facing, meaning it will enjoy the sunshine all day. Homes oriented this way are much sought-after. Part of the appeal is that you can make the most of your outside space. It’s great for line drying your washing, further reducing your energy use. Plus, rooms that face south, such as the open plan kitchen / dining room in the Hartford, tend to feel warmer through the day and need less energy to heat them.”

Plot 79 is available from £372,995 and is almost ready to move into.

Traditional looking outside, bright and modern inside, it’s a generously proportioned home designed with family living in mind.

The lounge is at the front, with the large open plan kitchen and dining room at the rear. A breakfast bar separates the cooking space from the dining area, while a utility and cloakroom tucked away off the kitchen offer practicality. French doors open out from the dining room to the garden, offering lots of natural light and easy access outside.

Upstairs, all four bedrooms are doubles. The main bedroom benefits an en-suite, leaving the family bathroom to serve the remaining three bedrooms.

Current prices at Stonebridge Fold start from £228,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Bretton, with a choice of four-bedroom detached homes available from £306,995.

Located on Whittingham Road, the homes enjoy a setting that offers the best of both worlds. They’re being built close to Longridge town centre, including a Booths supermarket, independent shops and eateries, yet with easy access to the surrounding countryside including the Ribble Valley, Longridge Fell and Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The area is well-served by schools, making it a great base for families. It’s also well-suited for commuting across the North West, thanks to the proximity of the M6 and M55 motorways.  Stonebridge Fold is less than 25 minutes from Preston train station, while those who want to drive into Manchester could find they’re in the city centre in under an hour.
