New showhomes launched at Bishop’s Stortford development
Three showhomes have been unveiled at Bellway’s development at St James’ Park in Bishop’s Stortford.
The three-bedroom three-storey Parkman townhouse, three-bedroom Harper, and the four-bedroom detached Reedmaker were opened to the public at a launch weekend on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 March.
The properties showcase the spacious layouts of house types at Bellway at St James’ Park, where 374 homes are being built across two phases, on land off St James’ Way.
The VIP guest at the launch was Alan Fordham, Chair of Governors at The Bishop’s Stortford High School, which is relocating to St James’ Park as part of the wider 750-home neighbourhood being created on the site.
Matt Saw, Bellway North London Sales Manager, said: “Launch events are always an exciting time, and this was the first opportunity for members of the public to view a completed property at Bellway at St James’ Park.
“The interest and demand for homes has been high since we released the first properties for sale last year and there was an excellent turnout for the showhome launch event.
“It was a pleasure to welcome Alan to the development as our VIP guest and to give him a tour of the showhomes. The Bishop’s Stortford High School will be an integral part of the new community which is forming here and we are keen to build a positive relationship with the school as work progresses on the site.”
All the showhomes at Bellway at St James’ Park feature an open-plan kitchen/dining room with French doors to the garden, plus a separate living room, while the Reedmaker also has a utility room. The master bedroom of the Parkman is a key feature of the property, as it lays across the entire top floor, giving buyers an en suite shower room as well as a walk-in wardrobe, while the Harper neatly fits two double and one single bedroom including one with an en suite into its first floor.
Matt said: “These three particular house types are ideal for those looking for more space, with different designs to suit the needs of individual buyers.
“The Reedmaker and Harper designs are part of Bellway’s Artisan Collection, our flagship range of properties featuring the best in modern home design and showcasing a new generation of houses. The Parkman is an exclusive house type for the North London division, only available at our St James’ Park development.”
The first phase of Bellway at St James’ Park comprises 219 properties, while the second phase will provide a further 155 homes.
Both phases form part of the wider St James’ Park neighbourhood being created at the southern edge of the town. As well as 750 new homes and a new home for The Bishop’s Stortford High School, plans for the site also include a new primary and secondary school, care home end employment space.
The first Bellway customers are expected to move into their new homes at the development this spring.
There is currently a range of two-bedroom apartments and two, three and four-bedroom houses available to reserve at Bellway at St James’ Park, with prices starting from £322,500.
