Entries are now open for the prestigious National Building and Construction Awards 2021.

The much-coveted awards, organised by Events & PR, raise the profile of industrious and enterprising building and construction businesses and recognise excellence in the field.

Launched in 2019, and already a firm favourite in the industry calendar, the awards are made up of 19 categories that allow any successful business in the UK to enter.

Categories include Contractor of the Year, Innovation of the Year and Project of the Year and entrants can put their name forward for up to three different categories.

"Since launching in 2019, the National Building and Construction Awards have quickly become a credible opportunity to raise the profile of hardworking building and construction businesses," said Damian Cummins, awards director at Events & PR. "The last year has been unlike any other the construction industry will have seen before so we are delighted to be opening these awards and providing businesses in this field the platform to be recognised for everything they have achieved or overcome in the last 12 months."

In 2019, the UK's leading contractor-centric quantity surveying and commercial management consultancy Soben won the Consultancy of the Year Award.

The award recognises consultancies who have shown development through the quality of their work and individual approach over the past 12 months.

Soben group managing director Scott Smyth said: "Winning the award was a fantastic achievement for our team. Not only did it raise the profile of our business, but it also gave our staff a real boost as they gained recognition for their hard work from their industry peers."

The awards are free to enter and culminate with a Grand Celebration evening held in London in October 2021.
