Why Buying a New Home in Fulwood Now Could Save Time & Money
NEW build house prices in Preston are rising but those who buy now could benefit from locked-in prices and save time, effort and money.
Latest Land Registry figures suggest that the average price paid for a new build home in the Preston area increased by 6.1% over 12 months.
At Bluebell Meadows in Fulwood, to the north of the city, the final phase of homes is on sale with prices already set, helping safeguard buyers against possible further increases.
There’s even the potential to save almost £18,000 on plot 21 an Ascot style property that’s ready to move into, thanks to the Stamp Duty holiday and a host of upgrades included.
Sales Director for Anwyl Homes Lancashire Matthew Gould explains: “For most people, the decision to purchase a property isn’t just a financial one – there are practical and emotional factors to consider too. At Bluebell Meadows we’ve fixed our prices and have superb specification homes ready to move into without the need to spend time and money on home improvements that an older property is likely to require.
“Our homes are ‘future’ proofed with modern fixtures and fittings included, plus energy saving measures designed into them. Fibre to the premises is included, making the homes ideal for remote working or streaming films, gaming or socialising via video calls. It’s a more convenient option that will allow buyers to spend time with family and friends rather than on DIY projects.”
Located on Ladybank Avenue, Bluebell Meadows is an intimate development of just 26 four-bedroom detached homes. There are three property styles currently available – the Ascot, Hartford and Delamere, with prices from £336,995 to £455,995.
Many of the homes will be ready for a summer move. It means those who reserve now and complete their purchase before the end of June could find they’re able to enjoy the Stamp Duty holiday, which could save them almost £8,000.
For example, someone purchasing plot 21, an Ascot style property, priced at £336,996, could save £6,849 in Stamp Duty.
Anwyl already offers a high specification as standard, but this particular Ascot includes £11,000 of extras, such as an upgraded kitchen, flooring throughout, light fittings, blinds, a dishwasher and turfed garden.
“There’s also the chance to enjoy further savings thanks to energy efficient measures designed into new homes to reduce the impact of daily life on the environment. This should mean energy bills are lower than in a similar sized, older property,” Matthew added.
Positioning itself as the ‘thoughtful’ homebuilder, Anwyl designs its homes and developments with how people want to live now and with the future in mind. Open plan layouts place well equipped kitchens at the heart of the homes, while French doors offer easy access to the garden.
The homes at Bluebell Meadows are being built in a sought-after area, less than two miles from Masons Wood, which is renowned for its bluebells. The neighbourhood is well served by local amenities, with an excellent selection of shops in the centre of Fulwood, including a Booths supermarket, while Preston city centre is within easy reach.
Show homes at the development are available to view by appointment only. For more information, including the latest availability and pricing, see the website anwyl.co.uk/bluebell
